Project description "Indigo I"
Indigo I - An attempt to capture in architecture that very morning in Phuket when the rain has just stopped and the clouds are still clinging to the hilltops of Chengthalaya. Twenty-seven villas are scattered along the slope so that no one villa blocks the view of another, and the pools stretch out along the terraces like natural lenses that gather the sky. Instead of typical finishes - brushed oak, travertine and Japanese porcelain tiles, and the master bedroom in each villa is placed in a separate pavilion: it is not customary to wake up in the same room as the living room. This is architecture not for demonstrating status, but for those who are tired of having to prove it.
At the same time, the project deliberately distances itself from the tourist map. The beach is fifteen minutes away, the UWC is ten minutes away, and just under the hill is the local market, where a grandmother has been selling durian out of her pickup truck for thirty years. The developer has chosen a managed rental pool format, but with no illusions that people will come here for three days. Indigo I is built for those who want to wake up to the sound of their own pool and not think about grass, bills and a towel forgotten on the terrace. And not to find out in five years that the neighboring plot has been turned into a hotel.
